Heathkit SB-220 80-10m Amateur Linear Amplifier, Two NEW 3-500ZG Tubes (1 Year Warranty for the Matched Pair of RFPC Tubes)

This Heathkit SB220 Amateur Linear Amplifier was the monster in the Heath lineup of its day. It boasts 2KW PEP input SSB and 1000W input CW. It has been refurbished, upgraded and tested at our test lab in San Marcos, CA. There have been several modifications to enhance the performance and longevity of this well-respected amplifier.

The modifications include:

•True grounded grids on the tube sockets, not RF choke isolated
•New Harbach power supply board
•New Harbach metering board Relay
•Bias modification

All components have been inspected, cleaned, and the fan has been fan lubricated. The unit has been fully tested on all bands using our high quality test and measurement equipment. The Power output is excellent! However, as with most vintage equipment, due to age, the unit itself is offered without express warranty.

The unit comes with a New, Matched Pair of RF Parts Company's 3-500ZG Graphite tubes (shipped separately). These tubes have a One Year, RF Parts Company Tube Warranty. The matrched set of 3-500ZG tubes are the tubes that were tested in this unit. They have been burned in and are Plug & Play tubes.
